Commentary on Chapter 56: Surat Al-Wâqi'ah
Introduction
This Meccan chapter (sûrah) describes the Day of Resurrection
when all will be brought forth for the final reckoning. On this Day,
appropriate segregation and perfect justice will prevail. In this
chapter existential evidence is presented whereby man may answer the
question of the purpose of his existence. Having answered the
question, he may then free himself for the realization of the One
Creator, the Sole One deserving of adoration and worship.
