The Kingdom – A Commentary on Chapter 67: Surat Al-Mulk
Introduction
This Meccan chapter (sûrah) clearly illustrates the totality
of lordship. Creation, while comprising many different seen and
unseen systems each moving towards the fulfillment of its own
potential, is unified. These systems are interlinked and the
controller of them is the One-and-Only Creator, Who is beyond
time and space and yet encompasses it. The bounty and mercy of
existence have their deeper meaning in His unbounded bounty and
mercy; by His mercy all will pass on to the next realm.
